The Complete Works Volume 1-6 presents all projects of Herzog & de Meuron within a chronology. Apart from sharing texts and comprehensive documentation of projects, the on-going series reveals, in part, how H&dM’s working methods have changed from analog processes to digital tools and design technologies.

 

Since the beginning, The Complete Works has been published by Birkhäuser, with Gerhard Mack as both author and editor. Meissner & Mangold designed the first two volumes. Rémy Zaugg guided the redesign of the third volume. Ludovic Balland Typography Cabinet collaborated with H&dM on the graphic design and print production of the three latest volumes.

 

Volume 2 covers the span of projects No. 048-079 which began in the years 1989-91.
